Stainless steel filter element for water treatment

Mar. 15, 2019

Today, I mainly write about the knowledge points of water treatment and the application of stainless steel filter element in it.

This topic is too long. I'll write it in five days.

Okay, let's get started.

1. Water pollution means that the content of pollutants discharged into the water exceeds the self-purification capacity of the water itself, which changes the nature of the water and affects its use.

2. Natural water can be divided into surface water and groundwater according to the types of water sources.

3. Impurity characteristics of natural surface water: The water quality and quantity of natural surface water are greatly influenced by human activities. Almost all kinds of pollutants can flow into surface water through different channels and converge downstream.

4. According to the particle size of impurities, they can be divided into the suspended matter, colloid and dissolved matter(All can be filtered with stainless steel filter element).

5. The physical properties of water are characterized by color, smell, taste, turbidity, solid content and temperature.

6. Indicators of physical properties of sewage include water temperature, odor, chroma and solid substances(Stainless steel filter element is necessary when there are large solid impurities.).

7. Municipal sewage contains a large number of organic substances, mainly carbohydrates, proteins, fats, and other substances.

8. Biochemical oxygen demand (BOD): Under certain conditions, that is, water temperature is 20C. Owing to the living activities of aerobic microorganisms, organic matter is oxidized to dissolved oxygen consumed by inorganic substances (mainly water, carbon dioxide, and ammonia), which is called biochemical oxygen demand in mg/L.

9. Chemical oxygen demand (COD): Organic pollutants in sewage are oxidized by chemical oxidants to form CO2 and H2o. The consumption of COD is measured and expressed by mg/L. There are two commonly used oxidants, namely potassium dichromate and potassium permanganate. The oxidation of potassium dichromate is slightly higher than that of potassium permanganate. When potassium dichromate is used as the oxidant, the measured value is called CODcr or COD, and the measured value is CODmr or OC with potassium permanganate as the oxidant.

10. Total Organic Carbon (TOC): After acidification, a certain amount of water sample is injected into the oxygen flow with known oxygen content, and then burned at 900C high temperature through a combustion tube with platinum as a catalyst. Carbon contained in organic matter is oxidized to carbon dioxide. The amount of carbon dioxide is recorded by the infrared gas analyzer and converted into total organic carbon.

11. Total oxygen demand (TOD): The main components of organic matter are carbon, hydrogen, oxygen, nitrogen, sulfur and so on. After oxidation, CO2, H2O, NO2 and SO2 are produced respectively. The amount of oxygen consumed is called total oxygen demand, which is expressed in mg/L.

12. The inorganic indicators mainly include nitrogen, phosphorus, inorganic substances, heavy metal ions, and acidity and alkalinity.

13. Water self-purification: After the water body is polluted, the concentration of pollutants is reduced through a complex process, and the polluted water body partially or completely restores its original state. This phenomenon is called water self-purification. From the point of view of the purification mechanism, water purification phenomena can be divided into three categories: physical purification, chemical purification, and biological purification.

14. Oxygen sag curve: Oxygen sag curve is called because the DO curve in the water is suspended after sewage is discharged into the water body.

15. The common processes of water supply process are coagulation, precipitation, filtration (stainless steel filter element)and disinfection.

16. Sewage treatment technology can be divided into physical treatment, chemical treatment and biological treatment(stainless steel filter element).

17. According to the degree of treatment, municipal wastewater can be divided into primary treatment, secondary treatment, and tertiary treatment. Primary treatment is the removal of suspended inorganic particles, organic particles, grease and other pollutants in sewage. Generally, the treatment process is completed by a sedimentation tank and primary sedimentation tank, also known as a physical treatment method. Secondary treatment mainly removes colloidal and dissolved organic pollutants in sewage, also known as a biological treatment. There are similarities and inconsistencies between three-stage treatment and advanced treatment.

18. Industrial wastewater treatment process: sewage - clarification - recovery of toxic substances treatment - reuse or discharge.

19. The grille is protective treatment equipment for subsequent treatment structures or pumping units. The role of the grille: to intercept larger suspended or floating impurities, such as sawdust, crumbs, fiber hair, peel, vegetables, plastics, in order to reduce the processing load of follow-up treatment facilities and make them operate normally.

20. The function of regulating pool is to neutralize and PH value, reduce shock load, store water and regulate water temperature. The types of regulating pool are: water quantity regulating pool and water quality regulating pool.

21. Dispersion system: refers to a system consisting of two or more substances mixed together, in which the dispersed substance is called the dispersed phase, and the continuous substance around the dispersed phase is called the dispersed medium.

22. Basic properties of colloids: optical properties, Brownian motion, surface properties of colloids, electrophoretic phenomena and electroosmosis phenomena 23. The stability of colloids means that colloidal particles remain dispersed and suspended in water for a long time. The stability of colloids can be divided into dynamic stability and aggregation stability.

23. Coagulation: refers to the aggregation process of colloidal particles in water, i.e. smiling suspended matter. It is the general term of coagulation and flocculation.

Water treatment cannot be separated from the filter protection of stainless steel filter element,

I predict that within five years, the water treatment industry and the filtration industry will enter the era of stainless steel filter element.
